SINGER NEEDED TO PLAY “YOUNG DIONNE WARWICK”

I am directing a workshop for a new musical about the "Shirelles" called "Baby, its You" and we need a 20's-30's aged African-American woman who can play a young Dionne Warwick. In the show she sings Walk on By and Say a little Prayer for Me.

It is an ongoing workshop. We have some major investors, and several theatres looking at the show seriously, including the Geffin in Westwood. Rehearsals are at this time as everyone is available average 1-2 days per week, sometimes more, sometimes less. Rehearsals are in West LA. Pay is $100/day and the rehearsal time is usually 11-4. We are in pre-workshop mode.. which means we are tightening the book, looking at scenes, and putting together the music. We are very close to putting the show up -- and once we do whoever is rehearsing the role for us will have a very good shot at doing the actual show.

(think of this as an extended, paid audition for the real thing!)
